Meditation of the Heart

But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or turn back from you. Where you go, I will go, and where you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God”. Have you ever needed to know that someone was there by your side?

What a perfect show of commitment! What a surety of an unknown destination. Yes, it symbolizes an unshakeable, an unwavering faithfulness in a hope that has been realized, revealed by the spirit of God.

As we approach our road of circumstance, let us be prayerful in our decision regarding the path in which we should take. This decision…what is its foundation? Is it one of sand or one of rock? Is it one that can easily be destroyed and then create a lot of noise when a storm comes? Or, is it one that can stand during the storm unshaken, unmovable and firmly rooted? Is it one that is founded in the values and principles of this world? Or, is it one that is founded and rooted in the uncompromised word of God?

Know that we do have a choice in the path in which we take, in that which we are committing ourselves. Choose that which you may…but as for me and my house…we choose the Lord!
