Meditation of the Heart

The grace of God empowers the believer and increases his/her faith. It is God’s grace that keeps us from being overtaken, destroyed by the cares of this world, those things that come to hinder, to distract our walk of trust, hope, obedience and love unto the Lord. Psalm 1:6 “For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.” Let us see the truth, the protection and provision of our Mighty Strong God.

Though we are in the world, the Lord is calling us to not conform to it. He has a new path, a new way, a new journey that we must take. It is here that he calls us to not lean to our understanding, but to seek his will so that we will not be led astray. Let us not entertain the old way that we traveled before we came into the knowledge and understanding of the Lord. We are called to allow God to redirect our desires, turn our minds and hearts to him. He is taking those, who follow him and who obey his command, to a new place. A new place in him where he is the supplier of all our needs, where he is our source, where he is our place of victory. It is a place where he and he alone is our God.

We can’t do any and everything and still think that we will receive the blessings of God. Psalm 1:1 “Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked, or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mocker,”. Psalm 1:4 “Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.”
